*Remote Learning begins April 13th*
Please keep in mind that this is a suggested schedule. We recognize each household will have their own schedule to follow based on their needs! Some takeaways from this schedule:
* "New" content teaching will occur on Mondays (ELA & Social Studies) and Tuesdays (Math & Science). Independent practice will occur on Wednesdays (ELA & Social Studies) and Thursdays (Math & Science).
* The videos & assignments will be posted on Google Classroom at 9:00am each day, but students can view/complete later in the day if that fits their schedule best. All videos will be pre-recorded so they can be viewed at your convenience.
* I will be online and available to quickly respond to student comments on Google Classroom 9:00-11:00am Monday-Thursday to help troubleshoot misunderstandings or struggles. However, I will be checking later in the day as well, it just may not be an immediate response.
* I will have "Office Hours" Monday-Thursday 2:00-3:00pm. I will be available via email each day at this time and we can schedule brief Google Meets if needed to help support students.
* Fridays will be our "Instructional Support" days. If students have struggled with the ELA assignments, they can join me for a small group review on Google Meet 9:00-9:30am. The same idea will be offered for Math 9:30-10:00am. Each Friday I will post the Google Meet information, around 8:30am. If students feel they do not need further support with the ELA and Math skills from that week, they can use this time to complete a variety of assignments I will post on Google Classroom on Friday mornings. If they attend a small group Google Meet for a subject, they DO NOT need to complete the activity on Google Classroom as well.
* It is recommended students have 30 minutes of Physical Movement in their schedule prior to their Digital Learning. I will personally be partaking in yoga each morning before joining them on Google Classroom. Cosmic Kids Yoga is a great, free resource for students: https://www.youtube.com/user/CosmicKidsYoga, as is running around outside a bit.
* We purposefully have not scheduled small group support, Office Hours, or immediate teacher feedback between 11:00am and 1:00pm each day, as that is the time our district is offering food pickup for families. Please let me know if your family would like me to share a list of local school sites.
* Students will get a 15 minute "learning break" each day between assignments. Students can do Read To Self on the days they have Math and Science. (Epic is FREE at home for 30 days, use our class code: ddj4444). Students can do DreamBox on the days they have ELA and Social Studies.
* Students will still have 30 minutes of their Specials each day. The Specialists have requested students follow the Specials listed each day so their Google Classroom videos/assignments aren't overwhelmed. Students can join one Google Classroom for all the Specials with the code: xsqvnj4.
